30-Day Declutter Challenge: Day 18

I travel a lot! In the years I've traveled, like everyone else (or most people) collect or take little bottles of lotion from their hotel or lodging. So, I've amassed a ton of these.

The other day my friend was visiting and he helped me with some bathroom sink clogging issues. When he opened the sink cabinet doors below to check on the pipe, low and behold, this package of lotion bottles poured out! Either my sink cabinet is packed with stuff or I am a poor organizer of bathroom toiletries.

So, for my day 18, it's time to part with these. Especially when you travel these days, hotels/lodgings are being more "green" and provide self serving lotion pumps to use instead of these crazy plastic bottles.

I think everyone should bring a reusable compact container that can be used to refill your lotion at the hotel instead of taking all of these bottles home. Crazy huh?

The next time you visit me, my bathroom cabinet won't be filled with these "extras", we need to move to more sustainable living and be economical. Plus shelf life isn't any good if it's what, a year old or more?

Let's be sensible in the products we keep. Keep decluttering!
