Conscious spending isn't about buying less; it’s about buying smarter . Today’s lesson in 'frugal wins' comes straight from Aisle 20. I did the math, checked the quality, and this Walgreens find is officially Edgar-approved. Recently, when I went to Walgreens to pick up a few things, I dropped off my items with the cashier to ring me up and I was taken aback when the cashier asked me if I was over 55+? I was a bit stunned, me, a senior? After focusing on what was being asked, I did say yes. The cashier immediately completed my purchases by taking an additional 20% off my bill. Most of my purchases qualified in receiving a discount.  As a retiree, I'm beginning to appreciate or not these new incentives for seniors .
