When you live a very expensive city like San Francisco, the cost of living can get the best of you. It literally cuts into your food or grocery bill. One way to save some "dough" or money is search out for some great restaurant deals. It's all out there, you just have to take the time to research and take advantage. Many companies, or restaurants provide an incentive to offer special deals to gain possibly repeat customers.
One such restaurant is Boudin Bakery. I love going to their restaurant and getting their sourdough bread which they use to serve as a bowl or vehicle for their clam chowder soup. I love it, it's smart to have soup and enjoy their original San Francisco Sourdough bread. It completes the meal.
After going their for years, Boudin Bakery which is a local favorite, I found out they have this wonderful reward program. They offer a monthly bread reward through their loyalty program. This is how it works:
- Registration: Sign up for the loyalty program to receive a monthly bread reward starting the following month after registering.
- Activation: The reward is activated with your very first purchase of each month, with of course a catch, a minimum spend of $1 before tax.
- Free Loaf: Pick up a one-pound loaf of The Original San Francisco Sourdough at any Boudin restaurant location.
- A Plus! Seasonal Bread Club: Alternatively, you can join a seasonal bread club for two 1-pound loaves per month, which includes a variety of bread options.
Seriously, when I found out I can take advantage of this program, I immediately signed up. As of this post, if you were to just buy a loaf of bread at their restaurant, that would be about $5.49. Think of this for a year, $65.88 saved in grocery bill by simply timing this program to your advantage. To this day, I don't buy any more bread except at Boudin. I live in the city, so I walk to the nearest location and make a minimum required purchase, and I'm all good.
