When people think of decluttering, most would automatically assume it's tangible things. Things that are visually present in our surroundings. But to many, decluttering can also mean electronically.
A friend mentioned this idea, and its easy to forget we do clog up our electronic world that needs to be cleaned and organized. This means from our desktops, laptops, tablets, USB, and phones.
Say getting rid of duplicate photos and unused apps. So today, I've uninstalled 24 apps that is taking up so much space. With these apps gone, my phone is running much better and efficiently, who a thought?
HOW TO START
- First off, make it a point to label all your images, this will help organize your images | photos.
- Delete any duplicate items, i.e. photos, documents and centralize to make your life easier. I recommend saving in the cloud, for me I save it on Google drive, plus I can have access to it from anywhere.
- We live in a post digital age, you shouldn't have any blurry, bad photos saved electronically, purge them!
- Go through your email drafts to see if anything else needs to be eliminated or emptied, do it on a regular basis.
- Finally, have FUN, enjoy the process, don't feel it's daunting, otherwise, you'll just walk away and give up, it's a process after all. Set a time to do this on a regular basis.
Make it a smart and liberating move! You got this!
