No, it wasn't friends who texted me, nor family, I usually get a phone call - old school way to wish me well on my birthday. No Strings Attached: Starbucks Offers 1 Day of Free Coffee

Today, Starbucks offered anyone with a Starbucks account , I imagine an opportunity to enjoy a tall coffee or ice coffee . When I think of these offers, I always try to take advantage. But generally, there's always a hidden agenda. The fact that your walking into their store to get a "free" coffee, you will have the an opportunity to make more purchases since you've been "gifted" a free coffee. Marketing tactics tends to work. I preordered on my Starbucks app and discovered they threw in a coupon that's $3.00 off any specialty drink . Naturally, I fell for it. I ended up ordering a drink I've always wanted to get but the drink was up north of almost $8.00! But, I said, ok, they have me here, let me treat myself a little instead of just a cup of joe . At least I'm aware of the tactic. In the future, I would make it a point of sticking to the original incentive and leave it at that. I ended up with a tasty specialty drink, Cinnamon Dolce Lat...

How Many "Free" Starbucks Holiday Red Cups do you Need?

Looks like Starbucks is once againing launching or has launched their annual "free" holiday red cup promotion with a purchase of a handcrafted holiday beverage. Red Cup Day at Starbucks I'm not sure about you, but I like "free" but if it comes with an incentive to purchase a tad pricey coffee drink, I might need to rethink on this purchase. The last time I walked into Starbucks and ordered a drink, it came out to up north of almost $8.00. Seriously? Am I getting old or the cost of a cup of coffee no longer exists? The whole idea of being frugal is to at least enjoy something that doesn't really cost you an arm and a leg. But in this case, you have to consider if it's worth it. Save some "Dough" with a Boudin Bakery monthly Bread Reward

When you live a very expensive city like San Francisco , the cost of living can get the best of you. It literally cuts into your food or grocery bill. One way to save some "dough" or money is search out for some great restaurant deals . It's all out there, you just have to take the time to research and take advantage. 30-Day Declutter Challenge: Day 11

Little things can really add up to volumes of unnecessary inventory. Case in point, these tennis racquet vibration dampeners . The purpose of a vibration dampener is to reduce the shock during contact caused by the tennis ball hitting the racquet strings . I've been playing tennis since I was a junior player back in Hawaii . These "marketing" gadgets did not really surface until maybe when I was in my high school varsity tennis team days. I see the difference when using a dampener, so I guess it does help my game.
