Frugal living sometimes equates to good mental health. When you are in control of your finances and in a manner that is thoughtful and rewarding it becomes an investment in your livelihood. SHOPPING IN THE MORNING The idea of living within your means creates an approach to how you do things; up to the point of when and how you see things. Here's an example, like most people we tend to do our grocery shopping after work or on weekends. This is the time when it's most convenient. However, I recently tried a different approach. After writing out my list of things to pick up for shopping, I decided to go to Trader Joe's Grocery in the morning. Since my list was the basics, I could pick up a few things and then head to work. Post 30-Day Declutter Challenge

I did it! it was tough! But I'm so glad I did it, it gave me a chance to start the new year right by reflecting on things I no longer need. Just looking at my apartment looks so minimalist! JUST KIDDING! It's not bear, but really living with enough. I can start fresh by parting with things I no longer need or have any use. Today, I feel much lighter and liberated. Certainly there's more to be done. I need to be careful with what I bring into my home and manage what I can. I'll only keep things that is functional and useful for me. Alone and On My Own ~ What Now? Get a New Bed!

You know life throws everyone a curve ball. For example, you may not be with the person of your dreams forever, or your may not live in the best neighborhood to really live your life. If your 30 or 50 years old, you can always make lemonade from lemons. So, I did just that, I moved out last month and manage to find a "somewhat" affordable place to live in the city. It just so happen it's one of the most expensive U.S. cities in the country, San Francisco. But everything is here minus less guns and more arts and culture. Not to say the other parts of the country doesn't but walking distance to many of these places is priceless. You get to play tourist everyday if you so choose. Who wouldn't? It's never really easy to part with some things you love, but having too much of a good thing can be bad or not worthwhile. Sadly, these must go! Water bottle, don't we have enough?
